Activity description

Expression contest on the theme of "the ideal school?

Slam is, according to John Naughton, a "democratizing tool and a poetic performance art" and a "link between writing and performance, encouraging poets to focus on what they say and how they say it". A slam is, historically, a poetry competition. It's poetry declaimed in public spaces (on the street, in a bar, etc.) or in a performance space (in a concert hall, theater, etc.), with or without musical accompaniment. Slam belongs to the genre of engaged poetry, whose codes it renews. The vocabulary is familiar, and the choice of words is at the service of rhythm. Wordplay and sound effects are frequent.

Student production

In the ideal school, knowledge flourishes,
minds open and ignorance flees.
Learning dances in freedom,
While curiosity guides every reality.
Equality is the golden rule,
And everyone builds their own set.

School?
Place of oppression or place of opinion?
Stifling or fulfilling?
I have mixed feelings...
Sometimes oppressed, sometimes valued.
Often fearful but happy.
I have friends and enemies,
I learn many things.
Too much or too little? I haven't decided.
I like my days, but I've picked up too much.
Too many insatiable courses, but maybe that's essential?
In short, I love you, dear high school, but sometimes I've had enough.
I'm embarrassed... because I won't be rid of it.
Sometimes I'm tired, annoyed, anxious.
But I know... I've dreamed of a bright future.
And thanks to you, I can see it.

In my ideal dream school,
Where the teachers are cool, not at all banal,
Classes are exciting, never boring,
Homework doesn't exist,
Break times are lively and full of joy.
Teachers are guides,
They believe in us,
They help us grow and become exceptional,
In my ideal school, everyone finds their own path.

School is not my livelihood,
It won't earn me anything... except friends,
The hospital saves lives, but school rots them.
All these evaluations put pressure on me,
To leave no room for my passions.

School or prison?
Nothing's going right these days.
Between classes and harassment,
We can't stand the pressure.
Accept us naturally,
So that we understand your teachings.
Teacher or pupil,
Both are linked.
Despite everything, friendships are made,
Between laughter, leisure, pleasure and empathy,
Strong bonds have been forged.
We thank our dear Mr Labouyrie (our PP).

The ideal school would be learning without judgment.
Start at 8am and finish at 1pm.
Passionate teachers, no homework and books of our choice.
A school without stress, anxiety or pressure.
And no mental overload.

Start at 8am, finish at 6pm.
Come home, eat, do homework, sleep, go to bed,
Where's our life?
Go to school and be fitted in according to our grades and writings.
0/20 = zero, no future, homeless
20/20 = perfect, career, wealth
School puts pressure on us,
loss of self-confidence and oppression.
