The ERASMUS+ project: Our ideal school
From December 13 to 17, 2023, the first mobility of the UEschool project.
We welcomed the ERASMUS+ consortium to our beautiful city of Bordeaux. The program was rich and intense, and the encounters unforgettable. Lycée Nicolas Brémontier, Collège Alain Fournier and école primaire Cazemajor welcomed Italian students and teachers from Lycée Totsi and Collège and primaire Bertacchi, and Portuguese students from Lycée, Collège and primaire de Fafe.
Outings & visits
During the penfriends' visit, we had the opportunity to show them around Bordeaux:
- Bordeaux's Christmas market, near the Grand Théâtre, where the correspondents had the opportunity to stroll around and sample Christmas specialties: traditional crêpes, sliced potatoes, roasted chestnuts and French sweets. Students and teachers then met up at the "Westwood Café" restaurant in Talence to enjoy some tasty burgers.
- The Bassin des Lumièresat the submarine base, where we visited an exhibition on the works and life of Salvador Dali, re-visited by an artist to bring them to life on the walls using projectors. It was a stimulating and fabulous experience.
- Discover the city of BordeauxThe aim of this treasure hunt was to answer questions and take photos of each other in front of the city's emblematic monuments, in a competitive yet fun and jovial atmosphere. We then had a picnic before discovering the winners of this Bordeaux rally.

The workshops
The workshops were very enriching. We were mixed with people of all ages (high school, middle school and elementary school) and nationalities (Italian, Portuguese, Danish and French). We spoke English so we could all understand each other, which helped us to improve!
The jewelry-making workshop was particularly interesting because it was the one that allowed us to communicate the most.
In addition to jewelry-making, we did yoga, played board games, worked on personal development and the " Stop junk food" theme.
We were split into several groups, so we were able to talk to lots of other students.

Mobility & correspondents
Having a pen pal means welcoming someone into your home, introducing them to your customs and to the norms of your country and culture.
Having a pen pal is also a responsibility. You have to accompany them, supervise them, explain your life to them.
A pen pal enriches our cultural knowledge, and can teach us as much as we teach them.
A pen pal is an encounter, a new friend. We can also think about learning a new language thanks to our pen pal, as it's a great help when you want to learn a foreign language or improve your English.
It's a source of motivation for learning!
